Mark Wilson's Bio
I am a typical military brat growing up with a F-4 WSO as a father. We lived in Maryland the last 10 years I was at home and there God was cultivating me for ministry to military youth. I lived on the boarder of two counties in Maryland where 26 high schools were located. For those high schools I knew of only 1 youth pastor and no other ministries for all those students. I was one of three professing Christians in my graduating class. In that void God developed a passion for the lost and training others to reach the lost. My parents modeled evangelism as a lifestyle which first found its way into my life through Teen Evangelism Explosion and then as a Teen E.E. trainer and finally through Mission Trips to Europe with Missionary Athletes International playing soccer.
I joined Malachi in 1996 and worked with my wife direction the middle school ministries in Ramstein/Kaiserslautern area for 7 years. There God continued to develop a passion for reaching and equipping the lost. We took a year sabbatical and attended Bethel Seminary’s MA in Transformational Leadership to better equipped to lead and outfit students, staff and volunteers for ministry. We returned from sabbatical and Malachi asked us to take the Director of Operations position in Heidelberg Germany. We started in August of 2004.
My roles and responsibilities in Malachi are Change Agent, Stewardship of the Vision, Long Range Planning, Training, Placement, Leadership Development, Camp Planning, Publicity, Alignment of Policy and Programs]
I have been married to my soul mate and ministry partner for 13 years and have 3 children, Abby, Samuel and Moyra. I have been known to wear spandex and leap off high things. I have a love for mountain bikes, cars, and speed in general. I also enjoy a good novel, leadership book or a rousing book on spiritual transformation.
