Though my dad was in the Air Force I do not remember much about it since my father retired when I was 10. My mom faithfully took me to chapel and then church but it wasn't until my senior year in High School ( Class of '81) did I become a follower of Jesus. I went to a small Bible college because that was the only place that would offer me a basketball scholarship. Since that was the only reason I was going to college I was not really thinking of my future when they asked me what my major was. I thought to myself what would be the major that was going to be the most fun. So youth ministry became my major. Although I am never sorry thta I picked the major I realised that it was not just fun but it was awhole lot of work. After graduating from college I went on a missions trip to Brazil and that is where my relationship with my future wife began. We have now been married for 20+ years and though she would like to trade me in on a new model she's got way to many miles on this one. Our spawn include a 17 year old male (David) and a very mature 14 year old female (Charissa).
I have worked with youth in every aspect of youth ministry- volunteer to full time youth ministry to national recreation organizer to missionary to military youth. We joined Malachi in Jan 1996 and moved to Germany to work with the Junior High group there for 3 1/2 years. After that tour we moved to Misawa Japan for 4 1/2 years. I presently live in Littleton, Co. and work in the home office as a Malachi recruiter.
My hobbie sare portrait and sports action photography. I love being with my family and try to get as much time with them as I can. I love to travel and if I could live on the eternal service project I would. In my alone time I like to read a great novel. Our family loves to watch movies together or do whatever it is as long as we are together.
