Malachi Programs: Ministry Distinctives
Malachi offers distinctive programming that will benefit students and staff members as we seeks to fulfill Malachi’s vision to be a disciple making movement of God that transforms the world by reaching and equipping military students.
Mentoring Relationships
Malachi Staff mentor individual students and also coach and equip volunteers in their community to mentor students. These mentoring relationships provide students with loving and caring adults who are able to individually encourage and support students in life and in their relationship with God.
Weekly Youth Group Meetings
Malachi provides weekly youth group meetings in each community for both middle and high school students. These meetings provide a place for students to experience Christ and grow in their relationships with God through avenues such as games, teaching and connection with peers and mentors.
Bible Studies
Malachi facilitates Bible Studies for students. These bible studies provide a great small group opportunity where students can grow in their relationship with God while studying the Bible with an adult leader and other students.
Middle School Retreats
Each year, Malachi offers a middle school retreat where students experience Christ, loving adults, friends, and memorable fun. These retreats create a relational environment where the truth about Christ is lived and proclaimed in uniquely middle school ways, allowing students to hear, experience, discuss and respond to Jesus.
High School Retreats
Each year, Malachi offers a high school retreat where students experience Christ and what it means to follow Him while being mentored by loving adults and developing friendships with peers. These retreats create a relational environment where the truth about Christ is lived and proclaimed allowing students to hear, experience, discuss and respond to Jesus.
Ministry Team Development
Malachi seeks to develop middle school and high school student leaders in each community. This is accomplished through ongoing ministry team development throughout the year and also specific events designed to encourage, train and equip students to serve and share Christ with their peers.
Volunteer Training
In each community Malachi provides a yearly training event that trains current and potential volunteers in youth ministry skills. Volunteer training is also provided throughout the year and prior to and during outreach retreats. Our goal is to encourage, develop, and equip volunteers, so that they also become multipliers.
