Qualified Staff
Malachi Staff are qualified to capably care responsibly for students. All Malachi Staff undergo a rigorous application process complete with required background checks and multiple references. Following this screening, qualified staff are carefully selected and appointed by a team of professionals.
Malachi Staff are youth ministry experts with quality training. All Staff possess at least a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 2 years training. Malachi Staff receive professional development once a quarter and one week a year to ensure they have the best resources available to keep them effective in leading a youth ministry.
Safety policies and procedures
Malachi Staff maintain a commitment to responsible and safe youth ministry. In order to provide safety Malachi Staff follow the following policies and procedures:
• Risk Assessments are performed for weekly events and special events. All trips are approved through the local command and carried out according to current Force Protection guidelines.
• Malachi Staff are requested to be certified in CPR and first aid and are ready to follow strict procedures for any emergency. This includes keeping up-to-date medical power of attorney forms and providing immediate communication with parents/guardians and the chaplain in the event of any emergency.
• We require applications and approved background checks for each volunteer who works with the Malachi Staff.
• Malachi Staff are committed to provide a safe and diverse community where people from all backgrounds are drawn closer to God as they experience the freedom to explore a relationship with God and are provided individual care in their spiritual formation.
Ministry programs and activities
Malachi Staff provide quality programs and activities for students that are enjoyable and relevant to their specific age groups.Ministry programs are designed to offer students the opportunity to interact with caring adults, participate in positive fun activities, develop friendships, experience the love of Christ, deepen their faith in God and learn a lifestyle of service. What to expect
You can expect Malachi staff to invest in your child. You can also expect Malachi staff to support you in your God-given role of parenting. Specifically, parents can expect the following from Malachi Staff:
1. Malachi Staff remain committed to communicating to parents about activities, events and purposes.
2. Malachi Staff will be faithful to take all measures to make events & activities safe for students.
3. Malachi Staff seek to corporately and individually help students relate to others and to God in increasing maturity.
4. Malachi Staff will lead & train teams of caring & equipped volunteers who will provide individual personal care & mentoring to students.
Relationship with the chapel
Malachi staff direct the chapel youth ministry under the authority and in conjunction with the Chaplaincy. While an independent contractor, Malachi Ministries nevertheless places its staff under the direction of designated chaplains at the installation level in the conduct of local youth ministry.
